MUSICA MORAVA is by Evžen Zámečník (1939-2018) with three movements. Movement 1 (“Prelude”) has a solo Euphonium. Movement 2 (“Bells of Frýdek”) rings with joy. Movement 3 (“Dance”) delights with a great theme. Composer Evžen Zámečník has captured the heroic essence of his Slavic heritage in this brilliant portrait of compositional craft and orchestration, mirroring overtones of the music of Leoš Janáček. A composition of major significance! Concert Band.
