El Anillo Quatelmateco – Band Sc – Band

$40.00

Description

EL ANILLO GUATELMATECO by Robert James Dvorak is an exciting departure from major and minor tonality which includes unusal rhythmic patterns, solo parts, dynamic contrasts and a powerful finale. “The Guatemalan Ring” is an exotic journey to Guatemala where original, historic songs and dances still recall the enslavement of the early Indians by Spanish Conquistadors. The work was inspired by an exquisite, ancient hand-wrought silver ring once owned by a Conquistador and given to a friend who had bestowed it to a museum. Premiered by John Paynter and Northwestern University Band at the 1970 Music Educators National Conference in Chicago, Illinois. Concert Band. Score. Grade: 5 Duration: 15:00

Performance Notes are in the Reources tab.
